# colour.PchipInterpolator¶

class colour.PchipInterpolator(x, y, *args, **kwargs)[source]

Interpolates a 1-D function using Piecewise Cubic Hermite Interpolating Polynomial interpolation.

y

Notes

• This class is a wrapper around scipy.interpolate.PchipInterpolator class.
__init__(x, y, *args, **kwargs)[source]

Initialize self. See help(type(self)) for accurate signature.

Methods

 __init__(x, y, *args, **kwargs) Initialize self. antiderivative([nu]) Construct a new piecewise polynomial representing the antiderivative. construct_fast(c, x[, extrapolate, axis]) Construct the piecewise polynomial without making checks. derivative([nu]) Construct a new piecewise polynomial representing the derivative. extend(c, x[, right]) Add additional breakpoints and coefficients to the polynomial. from_derivatives(xi, yi[, orders, extrapolate]) Construct a piecewise polynomial in the Bernstein basis, compatible with the specified values and derivatives at breakpoints. from_power_basis(pp[, extrapolate]) Construct a piecewise polynomial in Bernstein basis from a power basis polynomial. integrate(a, b[, extrapolate]) Compute a definite integral over a piecewise polynomial. roots() Return the roots of the interpolated function.

Attributes
