colour.sd_CIE_standard_illuminant_A(shape: SpectralShape = SPECTRAL_SHAPE_DEFAULT) SpectralDistribution[source]#

Represent typical domestic tungsten-filament lighting according to CIE Standard Illuminant A.

Generate spectral distribution of CIE Standard Illuminant A, which represents the spectral characteristics of a Planckian radiator at a temperature of approximately 2856 K. This illuminant should be used in all colorimetry applications involving incandescent lighting, unless there are specific reasons for using a different illuminant.

Parameters:

shape (SpectralShape) – Spectral shape used to create the spectral distribution of the CIE Standard Illuminant A.

Returns:

CIE Standard Illuminant A spectral distribution.

Return type:

colour.SpectralDistribution
