Describe the rate of enzymatic reactions, by relating concentration of a substrate \(S\) to reaction rate \(v\) according to the modified Michaelis-Menten kinetics equation as given by Abebe, Pouli, Larabi and Reinhard (2017).

Parameters
  • v (FloatingOrArrayLike) – Reaction rate \(v\).

  • V_max (FloatingOrArrayLike) – Maximum rate \(V_{max}\) (or \(a_m\)) achieved by the system, at saturating substrate concentration.

  • K_m (FloatingOrArrayLike) – Substrate concentration \(K_m\) (or \(c_m\)) at which the reaction rate is half of \(V_{max}\).

  • b_m (FloatingOrArrayLike) – Bias factor \(b_m\).
